Our case manager was kind enough to call and give me an update on the status of our Letter Seeking Confirmation. She had her agency contact in China check on things and apparently the person at the Chinese agency who handles cases like ours may have been on leave. This person is suppose to work a half day Friday (which it is already in China) and then will be on holiday all next week with the rest of the country. The LSC process requires a number of signatures before it is actually sent out. Our case manager feels it is unlikely that this person will be able to complete the process and get the necessary signatures working only a half day (and assuming this person even knows our papers are waiting to be processed! ARGH!)
So it looks like we will not be getting our LSC until sometime the week after the Harvest Moon Festival, which makes it no sooner than October 10 (my best guess). October 10th is 2 months out from Lucy's 14th birthday. I am getting just a bit anxious now.
