Pre-Approval!

Just received word from our new case manager at WACAP that China issued our pre-approval to adopt TMJ yesterday. One small step forward, but very excited to see progress.

I've described pre-approval to the girls as getting "OK-maybe" from China. They have looked at our preliminary information and decided that we look "OK" so "maybe" we can adopt (TMJ specifically) IF we get the rest of our paperwork done within the time limits and everything is approved along the way.

To me PA means that TMJ is "on hold" for us while we run through the agility course set up by US immigration and Chinese adoption authority.

Getting everything done within the time limits really is more dependent on the government agencies involved than us. We are moving as fast as we can, only to wait at the mercy of the bureaucratic machine that churns through paper at its own sweet pace.
