Names revisited

Our list of names has shrunk to two. Of course, DH and I each like the "other" one better. There is a third name, JOY, that was in serious contention for a middle name along with Wen's Chinese name. Not sure if it is going to make the cut.

The names still on our short list are…….

Amy & Michelle

Michelle has been a favorite from the beginning. It sounds good with the other family names. It means "who is like God?"

Amy is a newer addition. Easy to say, easy to spell. It means "loved".

We have settled on the idea that her name will be

first name   (new middle name)       xxxwen        last name
                       maybe           (her Chinese name)

DH says this is confusing and I should provide an example. Without trying to prejudice the comments here you go:

• Michelle (Joy) Xxxwen Lastname
• Amy (Joy) Xxxwen Lastname
• Amy (Michelle) Xxxwen Lastname

What to do? How to decide?
