Overdue Improvements

Our house has been due for some painting and general de-cluttering for quite a while. Bringing Wen home (and having 6 family members visiting for a week at Christmas) has provided the motivation to actually get something done.

Our problem (or at least my favorite excuse) for not doing things is we are rather root-bound so to speak. Over the 24 years we have lived here we have managed to fill the space available. Even with our 2 oldest sons out on their own (along with most of their stuff and several pieces of our furniture), we still are short on space.

In order to work we have had to make things worse. For example, to paint the spare bedroom

we had to fill up Wen's room

In order to build a new cedar closet in the basement

We had to move everything into the family room

Which is compounded by the "problem" of getting a new-used sofa bed for the family room that will go in this space

Now if we can just get the projects completed over the next week or so, it will all be better in the end. It will! I know it will!  ---- It has to be better! It sure can't be much worse!!!
