Sightseeing in the Soo

We visited the mega-metropolis of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan where the big attraction is the Soo Locks. Next year we will take Alice and Lucy on the tour boat ride through the locks, but this year we settled for just watching a tour boat go through the lock closest to the observation platform. Of course it would have been much more impressive to see one of the 1000 foot iron ore freighters go through where they have about 2.5 feet of space to spare on either side of the vessel, but alas, there were no freighters to watch this time.

So busy taking pictures of Alice, I neglected to take a picture of the tour boat!
