Landing In Beijing

We arrived early! only to have to stand in a mass line for an hour to get through the immigration line.

Joy was waiting for us. Thank goodness I'd sent a picture of the 3 of us ahead of time. She spotted us in a crowd of people. We had a slight hiccup delivering the suitcases for New Hope. They were afraid they had missed us when they saw that we had landed early so it took a couple quick phone calls to find each other, but everything worked out. Then we had an hour plus drive to Joy's home due to the airport being on the NE side of Beijing and she lives on the SW side and it was rush hour. Believe everything you hear about driving in Beijing - not for the feint of heart, but Joy was a pro.

We've had a 5 course meal prepared by Michael and walked to the local ATM for tomorrow's funds. DH and JJ are already asleep and it's past time for me to call it a day. Internet connect is a bit slow, so that may limit the number of pictures I post, but I'll try to put a few up each day.
