Day 3 - Adoption Day

We are now a family of 7! Lucy is officially our 5th child (2nd youngest by just 5 months). We rushed through our morning routine to be early at the civil affairs office and were the second family to arrive, well ahead of the rush.

Lucy and I eached placed our red right thumb print on our signatures (mine was on about 8 papers, hers on just one). It actually seems rather anticlimatic after all the tedious paperwork and headaches to get to this point. Very happy to have it behind us now.

Our adoption certificate was presented about 9 am, a quick picture with the official and we were out of there and headed to Walmart. I know, what a way to celebrate an adoption. :)

Lucy is enjoying her new camera and got some pretty good pictures through the van window. She may be a budding photographer.
